Kuwait air defenses neutralize multiple threats, reports limited damage

Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the country’s armed forces successfully intercepted multiple incoming aerial threats early Thursday, including ballistic missiles, a cruise missile and drones, preventing potential harm and ensuring the continued safety of residents.
Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said military systems detected and dealt with three ballistic missiles, one cruise missile and 10 hostile drones that entered Kuwaiti airspace.
The interception operations resulted in limited material damage caused by falling debris from the defensive response in several locations, while one person sustained an injury and is receiving medical treatment. The condition of the injured individual was reported as stable.
Colonel Al-Atwan added that specialized teams from the Ground Force Engineering’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit responded to reports involving remnants from the interception operations and secured the affected areas.
The Ministry of Defense reaffirmed that the armed forces remain fully prepared to carry out their national responsibilities, maintaining a high level of operational readiness to safeguard Kuwait’s security and protect citizens and residents.
