KPC floats 8 major tenders worth up to 126.6 million dinars across key oil projects

The Supreme Purchasing Committee of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries has floated eight major tenders and contracts spanning oil services, operational systems, technical manpower, and medical supplies, with total values ranging between 1.19 million dinars and 126.6 million dinars.

All files pertaining to these tenders have been referred to specialized working groups for detailed technical and financial evaluation.

The meeting, held late last week, reviewed several bids and projects that either saw a decline or stabilization in their estimated values following successive evaluations. Among the most prominent was the “Wadi Al-Ahmadi for Innovation and Research” project, which recorded the highest overall value and attracted strong international competition.

The Wadi Al-Ahmadi tender included four main packages, with participation from leading global oil service companies. Halliburton Overseas submitted the highest approved offer for Package A at 126.6 million dinars, while Schlumberger Oilfield Eastern bid 118 million dinars for Package B. Baker Hughes submitted 83.5 million dinars for Package C, and NPS Bahrain for Oil and Gas Well Services offered 75.9 million dinars for Package D.

The committee also reviewed a single-source tender for wellhead installation and control systems services submitted by Delta Corporation, valued at 3.9 million dinars, along with a separate tender for specialized pipeline labor and inspection services, which attracted bids from five companies, reports Al-Rai daily.

The lowest bid was submitted by the International Inspection Center at 2.5 million dinars.

In addition, bids for upgrading control systems at the GC-25 collection center were examined, with ABB Electrical Solutions and Technologies offering 1.19 million dinars under a single-source arrangement.

The committee further discussed a four-year pharmaceutical supply agreement submitted by Cura Health, initially valued at 36.8 million dinars and later revised down to 31.03 million dinars after review. Additional drug supply contracts were also considered, including offers from United Pharma at 3.3 million dinars and Central Circle Company at 3.4 million dinars.

The committee’s review underscores KPC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance procurement transparency, and support large-scale strategic projects across Kuwait’s oil and energy sector.
