KOC warns public against scams on news websites, social media

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) warned the public about what it called misleading advertisements circulating on certain news websites and social media platforms, which falsely claim to offer lucrative investment opportunities in the company.

The company has categorically denied the authenticity of these offers, affirming that it does not provide any investment opportunities or profit-sharing schemes for individuals, according to Al-Jarida daily.

As a government-owned entity, KOC emphasized that it is not involved in any commercial or investment activities being promoted through these unofficial channels.
The company urged the public to exercise caution and avoid responding to such fraudulent advertisements. It also stated that it reserves the right to pursue legal action against anyone involved in the creation or dissemination of these misleading promotions.
