Ministry of Interior cracks down on violators of law and order in Salmiya

The Ministry of Interior organized a large-scale security and traffic campaign in Salmiya on Friday, under the direct supervision of the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry said the campaign, part of its ongoing strategy to maintain public safety, uphold the law, and enhance community security, saw the involvement of all units of the Traffic and Operations Sector, including the General Traffic Department, the Directorate-General of Emergency Police, the Central Operations Directorate, and the Private Security Sector, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Notably, female police officers played a key role in the campaign, contributing to its effectiveness and helping achieve its objectives.

During the campaign the authorities issued 2,841 traffic violations, arrested 15 violators of the residence and labor laws, 5 absconders, 17 wanted for committing various offenses, 3 for not holding identification documents, impounded 9 vehicles wanted by judicial authorities, 3 motorcycles for violating traffic laws and 2 others – one for possessing alcohol and the other wanted by law.
