KFF shuts down 74 establishments in Shuwaikh Industrial Area

. . . for failing to meet safety and fire prevention requirements

The Kuwait Fire Force conducted an inspection campaign in Kuwait’s Shuwaikh Industrial Area on Monday evening, resulting in administrative closures and the issuance of notices and warnings against 74 establishments for failing to meet safety and fire prevention requirements.

The campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce and the Environment Public Authority to identify buildings and facilities that did not comply with the required safety standards.

The KFF said the measures were taken because the establishments failed to meet its requirements as well as those of the other participating government agencies. The inspection forms part of joint efforts by the authorities to monitor compliance with safety regulations in buildings and facilities in the industrial area.
