Kuwait braces for hot, humid weather, fog until Thursday

Kuwait will experience hot and humid weather through Thursday, with fog expected to reduce horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly along the coast, the Meteorological Department said.

Acting Director Darrar Al-Ali said weather maps and numerical models indicate that Kuwait is being affected by the extension of the Indian monsoon low, bringing a hot and humid air mass, especially to coastal areas.

He said the weather system is expected to maintain humid conditions and contribute to reduced visibility in some areas because of fog. Winds are expected to be variable to southeasterly, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 8 to 35 kilometers per hour.

Daytime weather will remain hot and humid through Thursday, while nighttime conditions will be hot to warm and humid, particularly in coastal areas. Fog may form in some areas during the late night and early morning hours.

Low and medium clouds are expected to increase from Tuesday evening through Thursday, with a chance of light, scattered rain in some areas. Temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 43 to 46 degrees Celsius, while overnight lows are expected to range between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius.
