KAPP unveils plan for Nuwaiseeb power plant, water desalination project
Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects announced its annual plan for contracts to be offered during fiscal 2026/2027, based on Article 33 of the Tenders Law No. 49 of 2016 and its executive regulations issued by Decree No. 30 of 2017.
The plan includes floating a contract to appoint a consultancy firm to prepare a comprehensive feasibility study for the Nuwaiseeb power generation and water desalination plant project in its first phase, in addition to preparing the tender documents and completing its procedures. These contracts are scheduled to be issued during the third quarter of 2026.
The scope of work includes providing consultancy services on the preparation of comprehensive feasibility studies and the implementation of all necessary project documents, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 39 of 2010 establishing Kuwaiti shareholding companies to undertake the construction and implementation of power and water desalination plants in Kuwait and its amendments and executive regulations, and the Public-Private Partnership Law and its executive regulations.
