Jahra and Al-Ahmadi set for new Mubarakiya market openings

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef said, “The Red Palace is one of Kuwait’s key landmarks,” and added, “We plan to establish several sports clubs in Jahra, particularly in Al-Mutlaa, which requires its own facilities due to its growth.”

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, announced plans to develop Al-Jahras seafront, a dream for its residents, and praised the Governor of Al-Jahra for actively working to boost tourism with the support of the region’s infrastructure.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, emphasized the need to develop the historic Red Palace in Jahra and host more events there during his inspection visit, Al Jarida newspaper reported.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef emphasized that the Red Palace stands as one of Kuwait’s prominent landmarks, adding that the Council of Ministers places great importance on heritage sites, following the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Visitors to Kuwait often head to the historic Mubarakiyain Kuwait City, and His Highness has urged the government and governors to establish a second Mubarakiya in Jahra Governorate and another in Al-Ahmadi. God willing, we will witness their openings soon.

He further stated, The seafront of Al-Jahra will also be developed soon, and this is a dream for the people of Al-Jahra. The Governor of Al-Jahra is proactive and strives to enhance attractions that will boost tourism in the governorate, which has the necessary infrastructure to support such efforts.

He continued, We are also aiming to establish more than one sports club in Jahra, given the governorate’s expansion, especially with Al-Mutlaa, which is essentially a city in itself and requires its own sports club and services. However, such initiatives take time, and unfortunately, we tend to be impatient.
