TEF ushers in 2025 with engaging Inaugural and Technical Symposia
The event, organized by the Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum, brought together industry leaders, renowned speakers, and engineers to discuss innovation and entrepreneurship.
• The Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum (TEF) launched the TEF Kuwait Mobile App to enhance communication, collaboration, and networking within the engineering community.
The Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum (TEF) kicked off 2025 with a successful Inaugural and Technical Symposium on January 8 at the Al Hashemi Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu, Salmiya.
The event brought together industry leaders, renowned speakers, and engineers to discuss innovation and entrepreneurship.
The evening commenced with the registration session at 5:30 PM, followed by a formal welcome address by event anchors Engr. Gem Prasanna and Engr. Middleton. The program began with a rendition of “Tamilthaai Vaazhthu,” fostering unity and cultural pride among attendees. This was followed by a safety moment and a Thirukkuralshared by Er. KalaiArasan and Er. Maniyarasu, emphasizing workplace safety.
Er. Arun Golden, Treasurer of TEF-2025, extended a warm welcome to sponsors, guests, and members, setting the tone for a successful evening.
The Presidential address was delivered by Mr. RAJA, TEF-2025 President, who highlighted the importance of continuous professional development and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to engineering excellence. Mr. RAJA also outlined upcoming initiatives, including special events to mark TEF’s 26th anniversary.
The event featured three key technical sessions:
- Bouncing Back from Failures: The Power of Consistency for Entrepreneurs – Mr. Mohan, CEO of IPPO Pay, delivered an insightful session on resilience and the importance of consistency in entrepreneurship, sharing his experiences in overcoming business challenges.
- Compressor Seal Solutions – New Technologies: Ms. Farah Elderbi, Director of Business Development at Eagle Burgmann, discussed cutting-edge innovations in compressor seal technology, emphasizing their impact on improving operational efficiency and reliability across industrial sectors.
- Aryabhata to Aditya L1: ISRO’s Memorable Journey – Ms. Kalpana Arvind, Former Associate Director at ISRO, presented an inspiring account of India’s space exploration journey, spanning from the launch of Aryabhata to the recent success of the Aditya L1 mission.
In line with its commitment to excellence, TEF announced two major upcoming events: the 9th Engineering Excellence Awards and the 16th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition, both set for October 9, 2025. TEF also celebrated its distinction as the only ISO-certified non-profit engineering organization in the region, underscoring its dedication to quality, safety, and professionalism.
A key highlight of the evening was the launch of the TEF Kuwait Mobile App, designed to improve communication and collaboration within the engineering community. Attendees were encouraged to explore the app’s features, aimed at promoting networking and active engagement among members.
A special felicitation ceremony honored the esteemed Guests of Honor: Mr. Mohammed Sulman Al Refai, Mr. Jasem Al Nori, Mr. Sabah Al-Shammary, Mr. RabihAbdul Qader, and Shri Manasa Raj Patel, IFS, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. The Chief Guest, Er. Kalpana Arvind, along with Guest Speaker Mr. Mohan of IPPO Pay and Distinguished Speaker Ms. Farah Elderbi, were also recognized for their invaluable contributions.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Engr. Kapil, acknowledging the efforts of sponsors, speakers, and attendees. A networking dinner followed, offering guests an excellent opportunity to connect and discuss themes of innovation and professional growth.
Looking ahead, TEF said that it remains steadfast in its mission to drive progress and foster collaboration within the engineering sector throughout 2025.
