“Interior Ministry” selects 209 applicants for ‘Officer and Sergeant’ specialized courses

Today, Wednesday, 8th January, the Ministry of Interior held a public draw for students who met the registration and acceptance requirements for the specialized courses (Officer and Sergeant) for the first batch.

This draw marks the first collaboration between the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, under the patronage of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, H. E. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, and following the directives of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf.

The draw took place at the theater of the building of retired Major General Abdul Latif Al-Thuwaine, with the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Education and Training Affairs Major General Fawaz Al-Khaled, Director General of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences Brigadier Ali Al-Wahib, Acting Deputy Director General of Training at the “Applied” Dr. Khaled Al-Rashid, Director of the Training Planning and Coordination Department Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Dhafiri, Dean of Admissions and Registration Dr. Fawzi Al-Dokhi, and several other security leaders.

During the draw, 209 applicants were selected out of 472 who met the registration and acceptance requirements, with an additional 15 applicants identified for the reserve list.

The announced specialized courses include the Officer Agent course, which covers three main specializations: Boat Commander, Food Inspector, and Military Secretary. This course will span two years, with training conducted at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, along with a semester at the Police Institute to strengthen the security and practical aspects.

The Sergeant course, focuses on the specialization of Port Security, lasts for one year, with training at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, along with an additional semester at the Police Institute.

These courses are designed to prepare qualified national cadres with the security and practical skills required to support the Ministry’s efforts in strengthening security and developing exceptional human capabilities.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that organizing the public draw reflects its commitment to transparency and fairness among all applicants, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates capable of contributing to the enhancement of human capabilities across the Ministry’s various sectors.
