IMA hosts inspiring public program on Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)

The event aimed to enhance understanding of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) life and character, concluding IMA’s Seerah Campaign with lectures and poetry recitations.

Mohammed Umar Falahi, the President of IMA emphasized the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about living a life rooted in faith, good character, and kindness.

The public program on Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), organized by the Indian Muslim Association,successfully attracted a large gathering of the Urdu-speaking community in Kuwait.

 

“In the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), you have an excellent example to follow. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the ultimate role model for those who fear God and seek success in both religious and worldly matters,” stated Mr. Nisar Ahmed, one of the main speakers, while quoting the Holy Quran during a public program on Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) at Masjid Yousuf Al-Adsani in Kuwait City on September 19.

The event, organized by the Indian Muslim Association (IMA), successfully attracted a large gathering of the Urdu-speaking community in Kuwait.

The event aimed to deepen the understanding of the life and character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), marked the conclusion of IMA’s ongoing Seerah Campaign, and featured insightful lectures and poetry recitations on the exemplary life of the Prophet (PBUH).

Nisar Ahmed, a renowned speaker and khatib in Kuwait, was the main speaker of the evening. While addressing the audience on the topic “In the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), you have an excellent example to follow,” he presented Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the ultimate role model for those who fear God and seek success in both religious and worldly matters.

He noted that the Prophet’s (PBUH) exemplary character, trustworthiness, and leadership earned him recognition even from non-Muslim scholars like Michael H. Hart, who ranked him as the most influential person in history.

Known as “Al-Sadiq” (the truthful) and “Al-Ameen” (the trustworthy), the Prophet (PBUH) exemplified integrity, compassion, and dedication to social work, as praised by those around him. He concluded by emphasizing that the Prophet’s (PBUH) profound character and accomplishments continue to inspire millions as the best example of human greatness and virtue.

Mohammed Umar Falahi, The President of IMA and second speaker of the evening, addressed the audience on the topic “I was only sent to perfect good morals.” He emphasized the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about living a life rooted in faith, good character, and kindness.

He referenced key Hadiths (the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH) that highlight the importance of treating neighbors well, honoring guests, and speaking good or remaining silent.

He added that the Prophet (PBUH) taught that true faith involves loving for others what one loves for oneself and that good character is fundamental to Islam. Criticizing modern tendencies toward selfishness and harshness, he urged Muslims to embody the Prophet’s exemplary character, as success in this life and the Hereafter lies in following his teachings. Finally, he called for self-reflection, especially in a pluralistic society, and urged Muslims to promote unity, brotherhood, and good deeds.

Several distinguished guests graced the event, including Mr. Abdul Lateef Al Munaify and Mr. Emaad Al Sinanfrom Jamiat-ul-Islah, as well as Mr. Muzammil Malik, a well-known Indian businessman in Kuwait, who thanked IMA Kuwait for organizing such an impactful event for community awareness.

A highlight of the event was a beautiful rendition of Naat(poetry in praise of the Prophet) performed by Br. Munawwar Hussain in his melodious voice, which deeply moved the audience.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Br. Talha Abdul Barr and was convened by Br. Ehtesham Siddique. At the end of the program, dinner packets were served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. The event attracted a large gathering, with many families in attendance.
