Idukki Association Kuwait organized memorable “Chill & Grill @ Winter Castle” picnic
The Idukki Association Kuwait (IAK), recently organized a highly successful picnic event, “Chill & Grill @ Winter Castle” that was held on December 26-27, 2024.
The event brought together members of the Idukki community in Kuwait for a memorable weekend filled with fun, food, and festivities, fostering community spirit among participants.
The picnic commenced on the evening of December 26 with a warm and inviting welcome featuring traditional Kattan Kaapi and Chai. The lively atmosphere was enhanced by cultural team performances, followed by a sumptuous live dinner. The event was officially inaugurated by IAK President, Abin Thomas, with General Secretary, Jobins Joseph, delivering a heartfelt welcome speech, setting the tone for an engaging and memorable gathering.
The night was brimming with activities, including a vibrant photo session, engaging cultural programs, and a heartfelt special meeting to honor visiting parents from India and bid farewell to a cherished member, George.
Adding to the festive spirit, the celebration featured a Christmas and New Year cake cutting, culminating in a delightful chicken grill session that was enjoyed by everyone.
The second day commenced with an early morning tea session, followed by a hearty breakfast that energized the participants for the day ahead. Children engaged in a fun-filled coloring competition organized by Raji Shaji Mathew, Jomon P. Jacob, and members of the Women’s Forum.
The sports activities, inaugurated by Sports Convener, Bijo Thomas, featured a variety of games and a spirited tug of war, offering entertainment and excitement for attendees of all ages.
The event wrapped up with a prize distribution ceremony, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Treasurer, Bijo Joseph. The picnic served as a testament to the strong community spirit and the dedication of the Idukki Association Kuwait members.
