Firemen contain blaze in Shuwaikh Industrial Area
In a coordinated and rapid move, firefighting teams from Shuwaikh Industrial, Al-Shaheed, Al-Ardhiya, and Al-Isnad fire centers put out fire Thursday evening in the basement of a company in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent properties.
The Al-Anba daily said the basement was used to store large quantities of wood, which posed a serious risk of the fire burning out of control given the weather conditions. Upon receiving the alert, emergency crews immediately launched firefighting operations, working efficiently to suppress the flames.
The Kuwait Fire Force has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, while commending the firefighting teams for their prompt and effective handling of the situation, which averted what could have been a far more dangerous outcome.
