Filipino domestic workers available soon for 700 dinars

Al-Durra Labour Company seeks to open domestic labor recruitment markets in new Asian and African countries.

In a reassuring message to citizens, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Olayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Al-Durra Labour Company, confirmed that, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior, along with the members of the company’s Board of Directors, efforts are underway to resolve the issue of recruiting domestic workers and alleviate the citizens’ suffering. Philippine domestic workers will be made available to citizens as soon as recruitment opens, according to Al Rai newspaper.

In a statement to Al-Rai newspaper, Al-Olayan announced, The cost of bringing Filipino domestic workers, when recruitment opens, will be 700 dinars, including the travel ticket. The cost for miscellaneousdomestic workers will be 750 dinars, also including the ticket. The fees for a domestic worker, driver, and cook will be 180 dinars, inclusive of the ticket.

Al-Olayan unveiled Al-Durras address to the Union of Cooperative Societies to open branches of the company in various governorates, noting that the union has shown great cooperation in this regard to serve all citizens, which will see the light soon.

He added that the company seeks, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Authority for Manpower, to open domestic labor recruitment markets in new Asian and African countries, praising the response of government agencies on this issue, which is expected to produce tangible results soon. He also praised the efforts of the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs and the General Authority for Manpower in this regard.

He concluded his statement by thanking Kuwait Airways, represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, the General Investment Authority, represented by the Managing Director, the General Authority for Minors Affairs, represented by its Director General, the Social Insurance Corporation, represented by its General Manager, and the Union of Cooperative Societies, represented by its President, for their unlimited support of the company.
