FAIPS-DPS holds inaugural career and higher education seminar

The event, held on the school campus, aimed at guiding students and parents in making educational and career decisions, showcasing the school’s commitment to supporting its students’ academic and professional growth.

The Career Seminar emphasized the importance of career aptitude tests, a crucial tool in helping students identify their strengths, interests, and career paths. Parents received valuable insights into the benefits of these assessments in aligning educational choices with future goals, supporting a holistic approach to career planning.

Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS-DPS), in collaboration with Mindtree International, Kuwait, hosted its inaugural Career Guidance Seminar and Higher Education Fair on November 7. The event was aligned with the National Guidance Festival (NGF), a groundbreaking initiative by the Central Board of Secondary Education, India, in partnership with Lifology, aimed at preparing students for a future of both uncertainty and exciting opportunities.

The event, held on the school campus, aimed at guiding students and parents in making educational and career decisions, showcasing FAIPS-DPS’s commitment to supporting its students’ academic and professional growth.

The seminar began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, led by the school’s Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli. The event was further honored by the presence of Dr. Tessy Thomas, the renowned ‘Missile Woman of India’ and former Director General of the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), India. Guest speakers Mr. Rahul J Nair, Co-founder and Director of Lifology, and Mr. Rahul Easwar, Chief Innovation Officer at Lifology, shared valuable insights during the discussions.

In his address, Principal Ravi Ayanoli highlighted the school’s dedication to nurturing students’ growth and potential, laying a foundation for their success in an evolving global landscape. Dr. Tessy Thomas shared her inspiring experience in missile projects, from Agni 3 to Agni 5, and her contribution to developing a re-entry system capable of withstanding velocities and temperatures of 3000 degrees Celsius. She also emphasized the importance of curiosity and passion in the pursuit of knowledge, encouraging students to approach their studies with dedication and enthusiasm.

The Career Seminar emphasized the importance of career aptitude tests, a crucial tool in helping students identify their strengths, interests, and career paths. Parents received valuable insights into the benefits of these assessments in aligning educational choices with future goals, supporting a holistic approach to career planning.

A highlight of the event was the University Fair, which featured representatives from prestigious universities around the world, including institutions from the United Arab Emirates, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Singapore, Canada, and India. Delegates presented on various topics, including program offerings, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities, providing students and parents with an international perspective on higher education.

The seminar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the School Counselor, Mrs. Kavita Sarvesh. The event saw a strong turnout of approximately 500 parents and students, each gaining valuable insights and a broader understanding of their academic and career options. It was hailed as a tremendous success, solidifying FAIPS-DPS’s position as a leader in educational guidance and development in Kuwait.
