Ethiopian Airlines offers alternative routes via Saudi Arabia amid Kuwait airspace closure
Passengers rerouted to global network via Addis Ababa

Ethiopian Airlines has announced alternative travel arrangements for passengers in Kuwait following ongoing security-related airspace restrictions and the temporary suspension of operations at Kuwait International Airport.
To ensure continuity of travel, the airline is facilitating passenger movement from Kuwait via land transportation to Dammam and Riyadh, enabling onward connections through its main hub in Addis Ababa to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and other international markets.

Passengers choosing to depart via the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are required to obtain a Saudi transit visa prior to travel. Travelers are advised to contact their respective embassies or consulates for assistance with visa requirements.
As Africa’s largest network carrier, Ethiopian Airlines continues to operate its global services, maintaining connectivity through Addis Ababa despite the disruption in Kuwait operations.
Passengers holding bookings to and from Kuwait (KWI) are advised to contact Ethiopian Airlines ticket offices or their travel agents for rebooking or rerouting options. Updated flight information is available on the airline’s official website: www.ethiopianairlines.com.
The airline acknowledges the inconvenience caused and reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety and smooth travel of its passengers through alternative regional connections.
Now in its 80th year of operation, Ethiopian Airlines remains one of the leading and fastest-growing carriers globally, recognized for its operational efficiency and extensive route network.
