England Ease Past Panama 2-0 to Top Group L
Full Time: Panama 0-2 England

England booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 as Group L winners with a 2-0 victory over Panama on Saturday, thanks to second-half goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.
After a sluggish first-half display that raised fears of another frustrating outing following the goalless draw with Ghana, England found their breakthrough midway through the second half. Bellingham reacted quickest from a corner to poke home and settle the nerves.
Five minutes later, Bellingham turned provider, delivering a pinpoint cross for captain Kane to head home England’s second. The goal saw Kane become England’s all-time leading scorer at FIFA World Cups with 11 goals, surpassing Gary Lineker’s previous record of 10.
The victory ensured England finished top of Group L and will now face one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams in the Round of 32, while Panama bowed out of the competition without a point.
