- Croatia secured a deserved 2-1 victory over Ghana to finish second in Group L and seal their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32.
Petar Sučić handed Croatia the lead before Derrick Luckassen equalised for Ghana. However, Nikola Vlašić’s late header proved decisive, earning Zlatko Dalić’s side all three points after they controlled much of the contest against a Ghana side that offered little attacking ambition.
Despite the defeat, Ghana also progressed to the knockout stage. The Black Stars finished third in Group L on four points, claiming one of the tournament’s best third-place qualification spots to book their place in the Round of 32.
