Egypt rejects any aggression against Kuwait

Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi affirmed Sunday Egypt’s firm rejection of any aggression against Kuwait’s sovereignty or any Arab state, stressing their security is integral to Egypt’s national security.

Presidency spokesperson Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawy said this came during Al- Sisi’s meeting with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, attended by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Cairo Ghanem Al-Ghanem and senior officials.

Al-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s full support for Kuwait’s security and stability and for measures to protect its resources, alongside backing Arab states’ security. He asked that his greetings be conveyed to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, praising strong historic ties.

The meeting discussed boosting bilateral relations, particularly in investment and trade, to serve mutual interests, noting recent progress in ties. The Kuwaiti minister conveyed His Highness the Amir’s greetings to Al-Sisi, affirming pride in advancing relations and appreciation for Egypt’s longstanding support for Kuwait’s security and Gulf stability.

He expressed Kuwait’s keenness to enhance coordination with Egypt to support regional peace and safeguard Arab security. – Kuna
