Education Ministry enforces strict attendance rules amid rising student absenteeism

As the final ten days of Ramadan begin and student absenteeism rises, the Ministry of Education has urged school administrations to strictly enforce attendance regulations, emphasizing zero tolerance for any leniency toward absences.

In this context, the Acting Director General of the Jahra Educational District, Bader Al-Ajmi, emphasized the importance of avoiding any hints, suggestions, or warnings that may encourage student absenteeism in any form.

Al-Ajmi emphasized in a circular sent to all school administrations the necessity of enforcing absence regulations as outlined in educational policies. He stressed the importance of maintaining attendance throughout the week and ensuring that absences are recorded without any leniency.

Importantly, Al-Ajmi added that students are not allowed to leave except in specific cases as per regulations. He stressed the importance of adhering to curriculum plans approved by technical directorates and ensuring that curriculum schedules are submitted to the district without any delays or deviations.
