Civil Service Bureau announces official Eid al-Fitr holidays for 2025
The Civil Service Bureau announced in a circular on Thursday the official Eid al-Fitr holiday schedule for 1446 AH – 2025 AD. If Sunday, March 30, 2025, is confirmed as the first day of Eid, government institutions, ministries, and public bodies will observe holidays on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with regular work resuming on Wednesday, April 2.
Furthermore, the bureau explained that if Eid al-Fitr begins on Monday, March 31, 2025, the holiday will extend from Sunday to Thursday. In this case, Sunday and Thursday will be designated as rest days, while Monday to Wednesday will be the official holiday. He also noted that agencies with special work requirements will have their holiday schedules determined by the relevant authorities based on operational needs.
