“Education Minister” confirms new procedures ensure equal opportunities in exams

The Minister of Education, Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, confirmed today, Thursday that the implementation of new and strict procedures for securing the first semester exams (2024-2025) has been successful.
The introduction of the newly established “National Supervisor” system was highlighted as a key measure to ensure transparency, integrity, and complete confidentiality. These efforts are aimed at providing equal opportunities for all male and female students.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, Minister Al-Tabtabaei expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the 12th-grade students in the scientific, literary, and religious education sections on the successful completion of the first semester exams for the current academic year (2024-2025). He wished them continued success and excellence, urging them to achieve the highest grades that align with their future aspirations and ambitions.
Al-Tabtabaei emphasized that the Ministry’s efforts are part of a broader framework aimed at educating students about the importance of adhering to laws and avoiding behaviors that could undermine the integrity of the educational process. He stressed the Ministry’s commitment to enforcing regulations and taking appropriate measures to ensure fairness and justice in the conduct of exams.
Furthermore, Al-Tabtabaei acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved in organizing the exams, including school administrations, committee heads, supervisors, teachers, central control workers, and correction room staff. He expressed his appreciation for their hard work, which played a key role in creating a suitable and comfortable atmosphere for students throughout the exam period.
Al-Tabtabaei expressed his deep appreciation for the National Supervisor, acknowledging their pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the exams. He highlighted how the National Supervisor closely monitored all operations and procedures to ensure that all necessary requirements were met. By maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency, the National Supervisor helped minimize potential violations and ensured that justice was upheld for every student.
Al-Tabtabaei explained that the correction process was conducted daily at the central control for both the scientific and literary sections, ensuring transparency and objectivity in handling all comments and cases of deprivation. He emphasized that every student would receive their full rights through a meticulous review of their answers, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process.
It is noteworthy that cases of deprivation saw a significant decrease during the first semester exams of the current academic year. The rate of deprivation dropped by 45.5 percent compared to the previous year (2023-2024). This reduction was distributed across departments as follows: a decrease of 33.5 percent in the scientific department and 58.67 percent in the literary department.
This positive trend reflects students’ growing awareness and adherence to systems and regulations, highlighting the effectiveness of the Ministry’s efforts to ensure a fair and disciplined examination process.
The test results are scheduled to be announced on the Ministry’s official website: www.moe.edu.kw as well as through the MOE Smartphone application and the “Sahel” application, immediately following the completion of the auditing and review processes.
