Dr Mashaan promises to implement urgent solutions to roads issues
Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of Works, has announced the initiation of a plan to address road issues in the upcoming days.
During her visit to the suburb of Abdullah Al-Salem, she emphasized the urgency of implementing immediate solutions, particularly the filling of potholes. Dr. Al-Mishaan revealed the activation of the Ministry of Works application, allowing citizens to submit pictures of obstructive potholes for swift resolution under the supervision of the Council of Ministers, reports Al-Jarida daily.
In her statement, Dr. Al-Mishaan acknowledged the challenges posed by uneven streets and emphasized the focus on urgent measures rather than radical ones. Teams have been organized in all governorates to follow a scheduled plan for inspecting and promptly addressing road conditions.
The minister highlighted the activation of the guarantee clause for companies contracted by the Ministry of Public Works to treat both primary and secondary roads. She assured that repairs would be carried out daily during nighttime hours.
Dr. Al-Mishaan drew the attention to upcoming improvements in road repairs, particularly those leading to rural and agricultural areas such as Abdali, Wafra, and Kabad roads and expressed the ministry’s commitment to avoiding past errors in contracting methods, company selection, asphalt mixture choices, supervision, and quality control.
