‘Criminal Court’ grants bail to two officers and policeman, imposes travel ban

The Criminal Court has decided to release two officers, a Colonel and a Lieutenant Colonel, along with a Policeman on bail of 500 dinars each. However, the court has imposed a travel ban on them in connection with a case involving a security pursuit and the killing of a young stateless man.
The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef has referred two officers and six security personnel to the Public Prosecution on charges related to the death of a stateless individual and the injury of a suspect during a chase.
The security personnel initially claimed that the death was caused by their vehicle overturning. However, the Public Prosecution charged them with murder after discovering gunshot wounds on the deceased’s body.
