‘Health Ministry’ and ‘Abdullah Al-Salem University’ sign agreement for medical faculty and health sciences

The Abdullah Al-Salem University and the Ministry of Health have signed an agreement to establish the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, set to begin in the academic year 2026-2027.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, and the President of the University’s Founding Council, Dr. Moudi Al-Hamoud.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the signing of the agreement on Wednesday, Al-Awadhi stated that the establishment of the college is a pioneering step aimed at strengthening the academic and scientific fields in the country.

Al-Awadhi stressed that the agreement aims to enhance the integration between the health and academic sectors by utilizing all available resources, including facilities, services, manpower, technicians, and administrative and medical departments. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging resources and expertise between the two parties and strengthening research and scientific cooperation.

Dr. Al-Jalal stated that the agreement lays the first building blocks for the establishment of the college and contributes to enhancing cooperation to achieve the country’s development goals. He also emphasized the support of the Ministry of Higher Education for the university to continue its educational journey.

For her part, Dr. Al-Hamoud considered the agreement an important step to enhance cooperation, aiming to improve the quality of medical services, support scientific research, and foster innovation in line with Kuwait’s national vision.

Al-Hamoud stressed the university’s commitment to overseeing the efforts of establishing the college in line with its announced strategy for the academic year 2026-2027. She emphasized the importance of investing in the preparation and training of human resources, particularly the youth, as a key pillar for future development, in accordance with the country’s strategic directives.
