Council of Ministers greenlights Kuwait-China port agreement

A draft decree-law approving the MoU between Kuwait and China on the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project and its protocol has been approved.

The Council of Ministers was informed of the Chinese government’s nomination of the National Development and Reform Committee of the Chinese Presidency to participate in the implementation of the wastewater treatment plants project in Kuwait.

The Council of Ministers has approved a draft decree-law regarding the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Government of the State of Kuwait and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, outlining cooperation on the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project and its accompanying protocol, according to Q8-Press.

It covered several aspects related to the port project, including the identification of the implementing entities on both sides.

The Council of Ministers was informed of the Chinese government’s nomination of the National Development and Reform Committee of the Chinese Presidency to participate in the implementation of the wastewater treatment plants project in Kuwait.

The council also decided to instruct the committee to follow up on the progress of the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries, ensuring that appropriate steps are taken swiftly in accordance with applicable procedures.
