Cooler days, colder nights with frosty, rainy and thundery weather in Kuwait
The Kuwait Meteorological Department announced today, Saturday, 4th January, that the country is being affected by an extension of a high-pressure system, accompanied by a cold air mass coming from Eastern Europe.
As a result, Kuwait will experience cool weather during the day and cold to very cold temperatures at night, with a possibility of frost in agricultural and desert areas.
The Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, explained to KUNA (Kuwait News Agency) that, the winds will be northwesterly to variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, and occasionally active. These conditions will enhance the feeling of cold, particularly during the night hours.
Al-Ali stated that the weather on Saturday, 4th January, will be cold during the day, with northwesterly to variable winds blowing at speeds between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour, along with some scattered clouds expected to appear throughout the day.
The expected maximum temperatures on Saturday will range between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the sea conditions are expected to be light to moderate, with waves reaching heights between 1 and 3 feet.
The weather at night will be cold to very cold, with a chance of frost in agricultural and desert areas. The winds will be northwesterly to variable in direction, blowing at speeds between 6 and 28 kilometers per hour.
The expected minimum temperatures will range between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet high.
The weather on Sunday, 5th January, will be cold, with a gradual increase in cloud cover. Winds will be variable in direction, shifting to northwesterly, blowing at speeds between 8 and 30 kilometers per hour.
The expected maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet high.
The weather at night will be cold to very cold, with skies ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy and a chance of scattered light rain later. Winds will be variable in direction, shifting to southeasterly, with speeds between 8 and 28 kilometers per hour.
The expected minimum temperatures will range between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius, and the sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet high.
The weather on Monday, 6th January will be cool, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain. Winds will be southeasterly to variable in direction, blowing at speeds between 10 and 35 kilometers per hour.
The expected maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet high.
The weather at night will be cold, with scattered rain, sometimes thundery. Winds will be southeasterly to variable in direction, blowing at speeds between 10 and 40 kilometers per hour.
The expected minimum temperatures at night will range between 11 and 13 degrees Celsius. The sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet.
