“Public Works” begins major road maintenance in Bayan area
The Ministry of Public Works announced today the commencement of major road maintenance work in the Bayan area. The concerned teams have already inspected the area to assess its condition and determine the necessary maintenance and repair tasks.
The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, stated that road maintenance will begin in the most affected areas, followed by the less impacted ones.
The maintenance work will be closely supervised, monitored, and followed up to ensure its proper execution, and dedicated teams from the Ministry of Public Works will oversee the implementation of the maintenance tasks.
In a press statement today, Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan explained that her directives for the swift completion of road maintenance work were made in response to the recommendations of His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah. This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to maintaining and repairing the country’s infrastructure, ensuring its safety and functionality.
Al-Mishaan stressed the importance of coordination to address any outstanding issues related to road maintenance work. She called on the implementing companies to complete all tasks promptly, ensuring they meet the required quality and efficiency standards in line with the approved technical specifications, while adhering to the agreed-upon timetable.
Moreover, Al-Mishaan emphasized that road maintenance and repairs are a top priority for the country’s political leadership. She praised the directives of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, highlighting their support for road maintenance projects as part of the broader efforts to develop an advanced infrastructure, in alignment with the goals of the “New Kuwait 2035” plan.
Engineer Nasser Khaled Al-Zoubi, the supervisor of the first scope of Contract 9 in Hawalli Governorate, stated that the maintenance work includes photographing and cleaning the sewage network, which will be followed by surveying and asphalt works.
Al-Zoubi urged the residents of the area to be patient and cooperate with the concerned authorities, especially as some roads will be closed during the upcoming period to facilitate the maintenance work.
