Commerce Ministry shuts eight shops, issues 46 violations in Ahmadi

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has closed eight commercial establishments and issued 46 violations during an inspection campaign in the Ahmadi Governorate.

The campaign was carried out by the emergency teams from the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Department in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior.

According to the ministry, inspectors detected multiple violations during the operation, resulting in the immediate closure of eight shops for offences that warrant closure under the applicable laws and regulations. Authorities also issued two notices of violations related to commercial licences.

The Ministry of Commerce confirmed that all necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators in coordination with the relevant authorities in both ministries.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to continuing inspection and monitoring campaigns across all regions of the country to curb commercial violations, safeguard consumers, and ensure compliance with market regulations. It also urged business owners to adhere to the applicable laws and licensing requirements to avoid legal action.
