Carmel School Kuwait celebrates Al Isra’a Wal Miraj, ‘Thanksgiving’ event
The students briefed the audience on the miraculous journey undertaken by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Mecca to Jerusalem in one night and his subsequent ascension to the Heaven
Carmel School joyously commemorated the significant Islamic occasion of “Al Isra’a Wal Miraj” with fervor and reverence, while also extending their heartfelt gratitude during the “Thanksgiving” event for the academic year 2023-2024.
The assembly took place in the school auditorium where Grade 2 students showcased a variety of cultural performances. The hosts initiated the event by extending a warm welcome to the sisters, staff, and students.
The students emphasized the significance of the “Al Isra’a Wal Miraj” event and provided the audience with a briefing on the miraculous journey undertaken by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in one night, traveling from Mecca to Jerusalem and then ascending from Jerusalem to heaven.
The special occasion of “Thanksgiving” was also highlighted, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the smooth functioning of the school during the academic year 2023-2024. The celebration commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by prayers.
The students expressed their reverent sentiments through a captivating “Prayer Dance.”
To visually illustrate the sequence of the “Al Isra’a Wal Miraj” event, a brief video was played, enhancing the audience’s understanding of its significance. Additionally, a group of students, adorned in Islamic attire, delivered a moving rendition of “Na’at Deen E Muhammad,” a beautiful song praising Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
A slideshow featuring portraits of sisters, teachers, and non-teaching staff was presented on the screen as a gesture of sincere gratitude towards the school and its mentors.
The students then entertained the audience with a series of cultural songs and dances, captivating everyone with their infectious excitement.
Principal Sr. Christy Maria delivered an inspiring message to the students, highlighting the significance of the events of “Al Isra’a Wal Miraj” and “Thanksgiving.”
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt “Vote of Thanks” presented by the students, followed by the rendition of the “Carmel School” anthem.
