ATMs with new banknotes deployed in malls for Eid

The Central Bank of Kuwait has announced the deployment of ATMs in various shopping malls during the Eid holiday, stocked with new dinar banknotes to meet the rising demand for Eid gift exchanges.

In a press release, the Central Bank of Kuwait announced that ATM services will be available at The Avenues Mall, 360 Mall, Al Kout Mall, and Capital Mall from March 25 until the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

This initiative, launched in collaboration with the Kuwait Banking Association, the Shared Automated Banking Services Company (K-NET), and the participating malls, aims to facilitate access to new banknotes, particularly smaller denominations that are often unavailable at standard ATMs. The service has been well-received in previous years, easing the process for customers seeking cash for Eid gifting.

The statement further highlighted that the Central Bank had already supplied local banks with new banknotes in the designated denominations, ensuring their availability at bank branches across Kuwait.

In preparation for Eid Al-Fitr, Kuwaiti banks have allocated 308 branches and 101 ATMs to meet customer demand for new banknotes. Additionally, banks have announced the locations and operating hours for accessing these new banknotes, facilitating convenient access for the public.
