Ambassador highlights Italian firms’ role in Kuwait’s projects

His Excellency Lorenzo Morini, the Ambassador of Italy to the State of Kuwait, emphasized the significance of bolstering cultural ties between nations, portraying it as a vital bridge for fostering closeness and introducing people to Italy’s culture and history.
The American University of Kuwait Theater witnessed a remarkable cultural event featuring the captivating voices of Italian Belcanto Opera. The magical artistic night left the audience breathless during a unique concert that embodied the essence of Italian classical art in Kuwait, delivering an unforgettable musical experience.

In a statement to reporters, Ambassador Morini highlighted the interest of young people in Italian music, considering it a means of communication between Kuwaiti and Italian students. He added, “We chose the American University as a wonderful place where its students can learn the Italian language and culture.”
He described Kuwaitis’ interest in Italian culture as very strong, noting that music and art, integral to our lifestyle, are closely intertwined with our traditions, culture, and history. It’s important for us to share these traditions with our Kuwaiti friends.
The ambassador mentioned his efforts to attract a larger number of Kuwaiti students to study in Italy. He acknowledged that some may see the language as a barrier, but there are universities that teach in English.
He also said that there are Kuwaitis fluent in Italian, and he plans to offer Italian language courses for those interested. Currently, he is searching for a suitable venue to host these courses and intends to bring specialized Italian teachers once he has determined the level of interest in learning the language.
Ambassador Morini mentioned that major Italian companies are actively involved in Kuwaiti development projects. He highlighted the Italian-based firm Pizzarotti’s contribution to building a modern maternity hospital, soon to be handed over to Kuwaiti authorities. Additionally, several Italian companies have been operating in Kuwait for many years, possessing advanced technology and extensive experience in the local market, making them well-suited to participate in upcoming major projects.
Soprano Francecia Manzo shone with her sweet voice, while tenor Andre Tanzillo delivered complex pieces with impressive performances. The audience responded warmly to each performance, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and wonderful artistic interaction.
The theater seats were filled with an audience that included classical music lovers, intellectuals, artists, and prominent figures in society. The audience expressed their great admiration for the fine artistic performance and excellent organization of the concert through warm applause that continued for minutes after the show ended.
