Al-Yahya shapes Kuwait Fund for Development’s new board

The Foreign Affairs Minister wishes success to new members in achieving the goals of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in the country and abroad.

Abdullah Al-Yahya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, has appointed new members to the fund’s Board of Directors.

A statement issued by the fund announced that Resolution No. 1 of 2024 mandates the appointment of members to the fund’s Board of Directors. The newly formed board includes Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Aseel Al-Munaifi, and Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Development Walid Al-Bahr. The statement further detailed that the Board of Directors also comprises Hisham Al-Waqyan, Dr. Fatima Al-Salem, Dr. Badr Al-Hashel, Dr. Saad Al-Nahedh, Dr. Dhari Al-Rasheed, and Dr. Sarah Khalaf.

According to the statement, minister Al-Yahya congratulated the members of the fund’s Board of Directors on their appointment for the next three years. He expressed his wishes for their success in dedicating themselves to the fundamental and enduring goal of establishing the fund and achieving its development objectives in Kuwait and abroad.

Al-Yahya also issued a decision appointing three assistants to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: ambassador Badr Al-Taneeb as assistant for Minister’s Office Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary Nawaf Abdul Latif Al-Ahmad as assistant for Americas Affairs, and Minister Plenipotentiary Anas Al-Shaheen as assistant for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
