MOH holds first Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma 360 Conference
The Ministry of Health held on Friday the first Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma 360 Conference, organized by the Kuwait Orthopedic Association, with the participation of local and international medical professionals, alongside the fourth annual scientific research day of the Kuwait Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
In a speech delivered on behalf of Health Minister Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Dr. AlMunther Al-Hasawi stressed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting specialized scientific conferences as platforms for exchanging expertise, developing clinical skills and improving the quality of healthcare services.
He highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to modernize healthcare by adopting the latest global medical advances, particularly expanding robotic and specialized surgeries and establishing dedicated trauma centers across healthcare facilities in Kuwait.
Al-Hasawi also emphasized the importance of integrated care for accident victims, from emergency treatment and surgery to intensive care, rehabilitation and recovery, stressing the need for coordination among different surgical specialties.
Meanwhile, President of the Kuwait Orthopedic Association Dr. Ali Mardashti said the two-day conference aimed to promote continuing medical education, strengthen professional cooperation and introduce participants to the latest clinical developments in orthopedic care.
Conference Chairman Dr. Ali Bahman highlighted the importance of teamwork and cooperation among medical specialties in treating injuries and fractures. He added that the accompanying scientific research day aimed to support young doctors and encourage research and innovation, describing them as the foundation of the country’s medical future.
