Al-Yahya and Al-Kharji discuss strong bilateral relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah Al-Yahya, met the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Walid Al-Kharji, on the sidelines of the Fourth High-Level Conference on “Enhancing International Cooperation in Combating Terrorism and Building Flexible Border Security Mechanisms – Kuwait Phase of the Dushanbe Process” which is held today and tomorrow.
Emphasizing further, during the meeting, strong relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, and frameworks for enhancing joint international efforts in combating terrorism, and ways to confront the threats arising from its consequences, were discussed.

Importantly, Al-Yahya met with the Under Secretary General of the United Nations for Counter-Terrorism, Vladimir Voronkov, on the sidelines of the conference.
During the meeting, the close relations between the State of Kuwait and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism were reviewed. This was in addition to highlighting the expected role of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, in the field of capacity building for elements of the Kuwaiti competent authorities.
Moreover, frameworks for enhancing joint international efforts to combat terrorism, ways to confront the threats arising from its consequences, and areas of regional and international cooperation in this context were also discussed.
