Al-Mutairi commends success of ‘Al-Makshat 2’ project

In a statement released, Sunday, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, and Chairman of the National Cooperative Projects Committee, Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi, commended the collaborative efforts that led to the success of the “Al-Makshat 2” project.

He attributed this achievement to meticulous planning and direct guidance from Sheikh Firas Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Al-Mutairi highlighted the high demand for the huts, which are frequently fully booked during weekends, necessitating an increase in service capacity. Enhancements such as improved electricity, water, and sanitation facilities, expanded seating areas, and the addition of new amenities have been implemented.

Furthermore, the range of activities has been expanded to offer daily entertainment suitable for all age groups.

To facilitate accessibility, a golf cart service has been introduced to transport visitors, catering to individuals with special needs and participants from the project.

Regarding visitor statistics, Al-Mutairi revealed that the number of visitors to Al-Makshat 2 exceeds 5,000 per day on weekends and holidays, significantly surpassing initial estimates of 1,500 visitors.

In anticipation of national celebrations, a special schedule has been devised to accommodate various interests, with live broadcasts of Al-Makshat activities scheduled twice weekly on Kuwait TV.

Al-Mutairi extended his gratitude to the collaborative efforts of participating entities, including the ministries of Information, Interior, Health, Electricity and Water, the General Fire Department, the Public Authority for Youth, the Kuwait Municipality, as well as other official and private organizations.
