Jazeera Airways’ Ertiqaa Management Trainee Program shaping Kuwait’s future aviation leaders
Investing in Kuwaiti talent to build the skills and leadership capabilities needed to support Kuwait’s aviation future and Jazeera’s growth

Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, today launched Ertiqaa, a Management Trainee program designed to develop Kuwait’s future aviation leaders and support Kuwait’s Vision 2035. The program will identify, prepare and advance talented young Kuwaitis to become the next generation of leaders in aviation.
Representing a long-term investment in Kuwait’s national talent, Ertiqaa supports Jazeera’s commitment to contributing to the continued development of the country’s aviation sector. A Kuwaiti airline with ambitious plans for growth, Jazeera is focused not only on expanding its fleet and network, but also on developing the skilled professionals and future leaders who will drive that growth.

By 2035, Jazeera Airways aims to serve 15 million passengers annually across more than 150 destinations. Delivering growth on this scale will require a strong pipeline of skilled, experienced and capable professionals across every part of the aviation business, from commercial and operations to finance, technology, customer experience and other critical functions.
Ertiqaa has been envisioned to help build this pipeline from within Kuwait. Selected fresh Kuwaiti graduates will undertake an intensive 18-to-24-month development journey, combining practical experience, structured learning, mentorship, cross-functional exposure and continuous performance evaluation.

The program will give participants first-hand experience of the airline business while developing the leadership, commercial and operational capabilities required to take on greater responsibilities as Jazeera grows.
Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said, “Jazeera Airways is a proud Kuwaiti airline that has grown steadily over the past two decades, while continuing to support the ambitions of Kuwait’s Vision 2035.

“Our new phase of growth will require more than new aircraft and destinations; it will require talented, skilled and experienced people who understand our business and are ready to lead it,” Pasupathi added.
Ertiqaa is therefore an investment not only in Jazeera’s future, but in the future of Kuwait’s aviation sector. We want to give ambitious young Kuwaitis the opportunity to learn the airline business, gain meaningful practical experience and develop into confident, capable leaders. As Jazeera grows, we want Kuwaiti talent to grow with us, take on greater responsibility and contribute to strengthening Kuwait’s position in regional and global aviation.”

Ertiqaa provides graduates with a structured journey towards future leadership roles, combining on-the-job and off-the-job training, departmental rotations and cross-functional exposure across the aviation business. Participants will undertake quarterly project assignments, attend operational meetings, access e-learning resources and work closely with designated mentors.
Ginny Sethi, Chief People Officer of Jazeera Airways, said, “At Jazeera Airways, we believe that our future is shaped by the people we bring into our organization today. We see the development of Kuwaiti talent as an important part of our growth and our responsibility as a national airline.
“Ertiqaa is about identifying talented young Kuwaitis early in their careers and investing in their potential by giving them the experience, opportunities and support they need to grow into future aviation leaders. As Jazeera expands, developing strong talent from within will be critical to our success.
“Through Ertiqaa, we are creating a platform for young Kuwaiti nationals to grow with Jazeera, take on greater responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future of our airline and Kuwait’s aviation sector,” she added.
Each trainee will follow an individual career and personal development plan across four structured phases, with clear objectives, milestones and growth expectations throughout the program. Progress will be regularly evaluated against performance, project delivery and competency development, ensuring participants are prepared to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Jazeera Airways is building meaningful career pathways for young Kuwaitis through Ertiqaa. By investing in national talent today, Jazeera is empowering the future Kuwaiti aviation leaders.
