MOI tells motorists, settle traffic fines promptly or face court action

The Ministry of Interior has urged motorists to settle outstanding traffic violations without delay, warning that failure to pay the prescribed amount could lead to the case being referred to the Traffic Court.
The ministry stressed that motorists should not postpone payment of traffic violations, as delaying settlement may result in the violation being referred to court, where the offender could face penalties prescribed by law.
Depending on the nature of the violation and the applicable laws and regulations, court-imposed penalties may include financial fines or imprisonment, in addition to other administrative measures.
Fines can be paid electronically
The Ministry of Interior encouraged motorists to settle their traffic violations conveniently through the Sahel government services app or the ministry’s electronic services, allowing them to complete the required procedures without unnecessary delay.
The advisory is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote compliance with Kuwait’s traffic regulations and encourage motorists to resolve violations promptly rather than allowing them to escalate into court proceedings.
