KFF closes 28 Sulaibiya farms over fire safety violations

The Kuwait Fire Force has shut down 28 agricultural holdings in Kuwait’s Sulaibiya area after inspectors found violations related to fire prevention and safety regulations.

The inspection campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources to check farms and agricultural properties for compliance with safety requirements.

According to the Fire Force, several farms were being used as warehouses, which violated approved regulations for agricultural holdings.

Authorities issued official violation notices and ordered the administrative closure of the affected sites after they failed to meet required safety standards.

The Fire Force said such inspections are part of ongoing efforts to reduce fire risks, prevent accidents and ensure that properties are used according to their approved purposes.

Officials stressed that storing materials or operating facilities without meeting fire safety requirements can increase the risk of major incidents and threaten lives and property.

The authorities confirmed that inspection campaigns will continue across different areas of Kuwait to identify violations and enforce safety regulations.
