Norway survive late scare to beat Senegal

The final whistle blows and Norway hold on for a hard-fought victory after a dramatic finish. Norway looked in complete control after Erling Haaland’s second-half brace put them 3-1 ahead, but Senegal refused to give up.
Ismaïla Sarr scored twice, including a stoppage-time strike, to set up a nervy ending and leave Norway hanging on until the very last moments.
Senegal threw everything forward during nine minutes of added time and came close to completing an unlikely comeback, but Norway’s defence stood firm when it mattered most.
Marcus Holmgren Pedersen opened the scoring late in the first half, while Haaland’s double ultimately proved decisive as Norway secured all three points.
