The Taima detectives have submitted a case to the General Administration for Narcotics Control involving an individual suspected of engaging in illegal drug trafficking while residing in the country illegally.
Alongside the referral, a significant quantity of marijuana packaged for distribution and a sum of money, which the accused admitted stemmed from drug sales, were included in the case file, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to a security source, the arrest of the suspect followed intelligence indicating involvement in drug-related activities. The arrest took place in the Jahra industrial area, where upon conducting a search, narcotics were discovered in the possession of the individual.
Further inquiries revealed that the suspect was already wanted for previous offenses and is now slated for additional investigations to ascertain the origins of the seized contraband.
