Kuwait Cracks Down on New Drug Smuggling Method Using Soaked Papers

The Interior Ministry’s General Directorate for Drug Control announced on Friday the arrest of an Asian national in possession of papers soaked in psychotropic substances.

The case, according to a ministry statement, revealed new criminal methods used in drug trafficking and concealment. The arrest resulted in the apprehension of the suspect and the seizure of 10 A4-sized sheets of paper soaked in the synthetic drug “chemical,” in addition to five grams of methamphetamine, all intended for trafficking and personal use, the statement explained.

Investigations confirmed that soaking papers in psychotropic substances is a modern tactic employed by drug traffickers, exploiting the ease with which these substances can be concealed and transported without raising suspicions. – Kuna
