MOH Cancels Licenses of Two Pharmacies, Suspends Third Over Violations
Action taken for breaching licensing regulations and medicine dispensing rules

The Ministry of Health has cancelled the licenses of two private pharmacies and suspended the operations of a third pharmacy for six months over legal and regulatory violations, according to the Ministry of Health.
Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi issued ministerial decrees ordering the cancellation of the licenses of the two pharmacies after they were found to be in violation of Ministerial Resolution No. 237 of 2025, which governs the controls and procedures for licensing private sector pharmacies and the circulation of medical products.
The ministry explained that the violations included exploiting pharmacy licenses without carrying out the approved activity for a period exceeding six months without obtaining prior approval from the ministry.
In a separate action, the ministry also ordered the temporary administrative closure and suspension of a third private pharmacy for six months after it was found selling medicines without prescriptions and maintaining records that did not match the actual stock of medicines available inside the pharmacy.
