Ministry of Islamic Affairs extends Umrah permit exemption period
Citizens, GCC nationals allowed to perform Umrah without permit from April 18 to May 2
The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Al-Suwailem, announced on Wednesday the extension of the period of permission to perform Umrah without a permit from the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for citizens and Gulf nationals, starting from 1 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1447 AH, corresponding to April 18, until 15 Dhu al-Qi’dah, corresponding to May 2.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Suwailem called on all citizens wishing to perform Umrah to fully comply with the instructions and regulatory procedures issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preparation for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, stressing the need to adhere to the instructions and decisions issued by the competent authorities in the Kingdom.
