HH the Amir visits National Guard headquarters; praises role in safeguarding Kuwait’s security
National Guard a ‘Strong Fortress for the Nation,’ says HH the Amir during Ramadan visit

His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, paid an evening visit to the General Headquarters of the Kuwait National Guard, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Upon arrival, His Highness was received by the Chief of the National Guard, Sheikh Mubarak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Undersecretary of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Hamad Salem Al-Barjas.
During the visit, the Amir delivered a speech marking the holy month of Ramadan and the national holidays, expressing pride in the National Guard’s role in protecting the homeland and supporting state institutions.

He praised the dedication and sacrifices of its personnel, describing the National Guard as a strong fortress and a reliable pillar in safeguarding Kuwait’s security and stability since its establishment by the late Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
His Highness commended the Guard’s achievements, including advanced operational training, implementation of mobilization plans, and the successful “Support (2)” exercise, which demonstrated close coordination with the Ministries of Defense, Interior and Health, as well as the Kuwait Fire Force. He also highlighted the National Guard’s educational awareness initiatives aimed at strengthening national values among students, reports Al-Rai daily.
HH the Amir directed the leadership to continue enhancing operational readiness through regular field inspections, maintenance of weapons systems, and specialized training programs, particularly in helicopter operations for transport, search and rescue, and medical evacuation missions.
He also stressed the importance of adopting modern technologies and integrating artificial intelligence into the National Guard’s digital strategy to strengthen monitoring and operational efficiency.
In addition, His Highness called for expanding international cooperation through joint exercises and the exchange of expertise with friendly nations, while reinforcing the Guard’s supporting role alongside state institutions and vital sectors.
The Deputy Chief of the National Guard delivered a speech welcoming the Amir and reaffirming the force’s loyalty and commitment to maintaining the security and stability of Kuwait, emphasizing continued readiness and dedication to serving the nation.
During the visit, a documentary presentation showcased the National Guard’s history and achievements. His Highness later received a commemorative gift, signed the guestbook, and concluded the visit accompanied by senior state officials.
