Argentina Congratulates Kuwait on National and Liberation Days

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of National Day, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the government and people of Kuwait, on behalf of the government and people of Argentina.

This year is the 35th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Kuwait from the Gulf war, in which Argentina was proud to be an active member of the coalition forces that contributed to the liberation of Kuwait in 1991.

Argentina also proudly recalls the participation of hundreds of Argentine men and women who served in Kuwait between 1991-2003 in the United Nations Iraq–Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM).

This historic contribution remains a meaningful symbol of solidarity and friendship between our nations. Argentina wishes Kuwait continued peace, prosperity, and progress, and reaffirms its commitment to further strengthening the bilateral relations and cooperation between our countries.
