Customs officers seize 13 kilos of tobacco from Indian passenger at Kuwait Airport

Airport customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport (Terminal 4) have taken into custody an Indian man for attempting to smuggle into the country 13 kilograms of tobacco hidden among his personal belongings in violation of customs regulations.
The man, who works as a transaction broker for a company, arrived from Delhi, India. During routine customs inspection procedures, the tobacco was found neatly packed in his luggage, prompting immediate action by the authorities.
The General Administration of Customs confirmed that legal measures are being taken against the passenger. A seizure report is being prepared and will be referred to the General Administration of Criminal Investigation at the Airport to complete the necessary investigations and enforce applicable penalties.
Customs officials stressed their commitment to maintaining strict control at all entry points into the country, ensuring that attempts to bring in prohibited or illegal items are detected and prevented, thereby safeguarding national security and public safety.
