Trio arrested for possessing drugs

Ahmadi Support Patrols, operating under the Public Security Sector, arrested a citizen in the Fahaheel area after discovering a bag containing a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine (shabu).

A security source explained after the suspect was stopped for violating traffic laws, he attempted to discard a sachet from his vehicle, which was later found to contain drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.

In a separate operation, Jahra Rescue Patrols arrested two Gulf citizens in Jahra at a checkpoint, because both men under the influence of drugs and in possession of methamphetamine.

The three men have been handed over to the authorities.
