A consortium of five leading companies has secured the top bid to redevelop Al-Muthanna, one of Kuwait City’s most iconic landmarks.

The project will transform the area into a vibrant cultural, commercial, and tourist destination, combining heritage, modernity, and interactive experiences, while supporting Kuwait Vision 2035 and creating economic and job opportunities for locals.

The leading companies include the Arkan Kuwait Real Estate Company, National Investments Company, Bayut Holding Company, Osool Investment Company, and Real Estate House Company, securing the highest financial and technical bid in the tender for the development, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Al-Muthanna, is set to be transformed into a vibrant, modern destination that celebrates the nation’s heritage and positions the area as a unique cultural and tourist hub.

The development will provide a comprehensive experience combining shopping, dining, entertainment, culture, interactive spaces, and innovative art installations.

Abdulrahman Hamad Al-Turkait, Vice Chairman and CEO of Arkan Kuwait Real Estate Company, said, “This strategic tender is a key step towards realizing Kuwait Vision 2035.

“The Al-Muthanna project is not merely a real estate development but a revival of a historical landmark with symbolic and economic significance.

“We aim to create an integrated cultural destination that blends authenticity with modernity, offering a unique experience for families and tourists while supporting the national economy, empowering local entrepreneurs, and generating quality job opportunities for Kuwaitis,” said Al-Turkait.

He added, “The strength of this alliance comes from the diversity and integration of expertise across real estate development, investment, and project management.

“Our cooperation reflects a shared commitment to long-term economic and social value, ensuring Al-Muthanna becomes a fully integrated cultural destination. We will also prioritize environmental sustainability, smart solutions, and opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship,” he said.
