Interior Ministry organizes first field exhibition to raise awareness of new anti-drug law
The exhibition featured informational and interactive sections that highlight the most important updates to the law and its deterrent penalties. It also includes visual awareness materials and guidance brochures for visitors to the mall.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the General Department of Drug Control, Thursday, organized the first field exhibition for the awareness campaign on the anti-drug and psychotropic substances law, titled “We Protect Our Homeland,” at The Avenues Mall.
The initiative aims to familiarize the public with the newly issued law, clarify the penalties it prescribes, and contribute to curbing the spread of drugs.
In a press statement, the ministry said the exhibition comes within ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness and strengthen legal culture regarding the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances.
According to the statement, the event was organized with the participation of the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association and the Ministry of Health (the Addiction Treatment Center with the objective to educate the public about the provisions of the new anti-drug law, explain its articles, and outline penalties related to consumption, promotion, and trafficking, while also presenting its therapeutic and legal dimensions, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry of Interior affirmed its commitment to continuing field activities and specialized awareness programs, and to strengthening coordination with health and legal entities to protect society, safeguard public security, and promote a safer community.
